One of the things most people know about me is that I'm a massive feminist. I grew up with parents that fully supported my ambitions and didn't see me as any different from my brothers. I feel lucky to have done so and think it's something that every child should have, boy or girl.
To mark International Women's Day 2015 I thought I'd share five of my favourite women with you.

Emma Watson
Actress in some of my favourite films and brought to life my favourite literary heroines beautifully. She is now an all-round kickass lady including being the UN Goodwill Ambassador.
Beyonce
Potentially the greatest businesswoman in the world, who taught me at a young age that girl power was everything (along with the Spice Girls).

Emmeline Pankhust
Leader of the suffragette movement that enabled women like me to have the rights that we do now in the UK. She put life and limb on the line to push the equality and freedom of women.
Amelia Earhart
First woman to fly solo across the Atlantic. She broke down all sorts of boundaries for females in aviation and was a best-selling author.

J K Rowling
Apart from being the author of my favourite and most impacting book series of my life, she has also been the perfect role model for who you should be when you are lucky enough to be rich and powerful. Not only did she build her life up from rock bottom and being completely broke, but never took no for an answer. Now she is the only author that has ever lost her billionaire status because she donated so much money to charity. I LOVE HER.
