I'm pretty late to the fact that Next has been making some superb and beautiful homeware over the past few years. I only have to spend a couple of minutes on their site or in my store (which also has a Costa in, what? Absolutely brilliant idea there) to see how they make me feel like I need everything they have right this very minute. Much to the dismay of the SO who doesn't want to carry anymore stuff up the concrete stairs to my flat.
With my Christmas and Birthday fast approaching I thought I'd start looking at things that I may put on my wishlist (or that might sneak their way into my home before).
1. Dark Orchid And Patchouli Home Fragrance 3 Wick Candle
I adore orchids, and fragrances that incorporate them are always winners in my book. This candle has the advantage of having three wicks for more evening burning and comes in a beautiful jar (would definitely be used afterwards).
2. New York Luxury Fragranced Reed Diffuser
How snazzy is this box? It looks absolutely beautiful, like a high-market perfume . I'm already thinking about getting it for my mama for her Birthday or Christmas present (which may involve picking up one for myself).
3. Fragranced Votive Candles
These candles are just so cute. I love candles, they instantly make the room feel warmer and more homely, though I do have to do 5,000 checks before I go to bed to make sure I have blown them out properly.
1. Adele White Mercury Table Lamp
I love neutral tones and this table lamp would work perfectly in my living room (it has a kind of beachy-nautical feel and I think this would stick with that theme but also contrast with its curvy lines).
2. Smoke Crackle Table Lamp
This is probably my most favourite I love the cracked, smokey bottom and its neutral tones means I could put it either in my living room or bedroom.
3. Natural Ceramic Table Lamps Set Of 2
For a set of two lamps I think the price of these is incredible. Yet again, the same neutral-loving tones. (I can't help it!)
4. Astoria Table Lamp
I adore the clean lines and stark white of this table lamp. It would contrast perfectly on the dark wood bedside table that I have in my bedroom.
5. Mink Crackle Floor Lamp
If I'm honest, and being a proper adult, I should make a sensible decision and invest in a more expensive floor lamp rather than a table lamp and this one is perfect. The 'bubbles' at the top just gives it enough quirkiness to put it on the list!
1. Over Door Shower Caddy
This over-the-door shower caddy would be the ideal space saver. It means I could put all the spare shower gels, moisturises and other things that currently clutter my bathroom in this. I could maybe even store clean towels in it?
2. Southport Mid Boy
I have a confession. I think I'm in love with a piece of homeware and it's this bad boy right here. I love, love, LOVE it. It's more expensive than I would usually pay for but, as previously stated, I need to start investing in good quality pieces rather than buying several cheaper bits. This would beautifully house all my flannels, and lotions, hairsprays whatever that clutter the floor of my bathroom at the moment. This would also reduce the amount of dusting I have to do! Win-win I say.
3. Wicker Toilet Roll Stacker
I'm not one of those people that is offended by the sight of toilet rolls and would never EVER have one of those hideous toilet roll covers, but I think this wicker basket is the perfect way to keep them all tidy and together.
4. Natural Wicker Oval Laundry Bin
I have another confession. I've lived for two years without having a laundry holder. I know, I know. Awful. I had wanted to buy one before I moved in but couldn't find one that wasn't either hideous or ridiculously expensive. Luckily, Next has made this one that is ideal.
Around the home
1. Set Of 4 Glass Coasters In Wire Bird Holder
As previously mentioned, I bought a lot of cheap but useable things when I first moved into the flat as I had so much to buy. This means I got inexpensive coasters to save my landlord's table from marks, but now they are tattered and gross. These glass coasters would be ideal and are a bargain for four.
2. Calla Lily Bundle
I love flowers. However, because I spend all my money on homeware, I rarely have the spare cash to buy them. I also let things die. These plastic lillies are beautiful and look real. They would be perfect in one of my vases.
3. Bamboo Vase
I love collecting vases, I just seem to be attracted to them like a magnet. This bamboo one is beautiful and would fit in with my nautical living room.
4. Set Of 3 Stacking Tins
I don't have a great deal of counter space in my kitchen and the amount I drink coffee I need to have them accessible. These stackable tins are a brilliant invention. They save space and are far better quality than the ones I bought for £3. Haha. (they may be one of those things that sneak their way into my home very shortly)
5. Set Of 4 Owl Stacking Mugs
I am very quickly running out of mug space in my kitchen and one of these days it's going to end in heartbreak when the SO or I clumsily smashes one of my Harry Potter mugs. It could be the end of the relationship. No joke. These owl mugs are ideal as I can stack them neatly and they look like they fit a fair amount of brew in.
Do you love Next as much as I do? If not, where is your go-to shop?
