I walk past the Belgrave Music Hall every single day on my walk home and I've seen it transform into something that looked dingey and a bit gross into something that catches my eye each morning and evening. I'm not even sure if it was the Belgrave Music Hall when I first moved to Leeds, as I paid no attention to it, but it looked nothing like what it does now.
It has managed to keep a rustic and edgy feel to it that makes it stand out from a lot of other places in the city, and my experience (although brief) has made it one of my favourite bars in Leeds already and somewhere that I would definitely head back to.
I should have known it all along really. Any place that will serve me big, dirty slices of pizza along with my cider is just fine by me. Never mind that I got a quarter of a freshly made pizza for £1.50. ONE POUND FIFTY. Obviously I bought two slices because, at that price, I'm surprised I didn't buy five. Even after 7pm, it's only £3 a slice, which is still completely fine for a quarter of a pizza.

I had the Sausage Fest and the Wet Nun and both were mouth-watering delicious. There isn't a massive selection on offer, with six different pizzas being served, but what they do, they do extremely well. It's kind of like Street Food but where you can sit down in the comfort and warmth of a pub. You make your order for whichever pizza takes your fancy, pay up and then wait as the yummy pizza cooks. It's then served up in on a brown paper bag and you can help yourself to ketchup, parmesan, and chilli sauces. Everything I love about life is in this one little place and it's awesome.
I was only at Belgrave for a couple of hours as I was there for a friend's leaving do and we had to head to a karaoke bar. It was originally on my 'to-do' list as they have a Street Fest every month, but now it is probably my favourite 'pub' in Leeds. I will definitely be heading back to eat more pizza, and sample the Street Fest and roof terrace.
